With access to housing becoming an increasingly critical issue for local economic development, McClure Consulting has, through our affiliates, become increasingly involved in documenting housing market conditions, evaluating strategies for increasing the supply of affordable housing stock, and assessing the feasibility of developing housing through conversions of commercial property, upzoning residential property in certain areas, and maximizing resources specifically available for affordable housing.

The firm has also become more active in the specific environmental issue of water quality: state-agency rulemaking and related economic impacts, methods of communicating economic analytical issues related to water regulations, and the like. These projects add to our “vocabulary” for relating regulatory issues to economic development and community development objectives.
